Ear lobe piercings can cause stretched earlobe holes suddenly or over time. Your earlobe may have been stretched from years of wearing a piercing or perhaps torn by sudden trauma. Earlobe repair is an outpatient procedure with local anesthesia. You will be able to drive yourself to and from the appointment. Sutures will be placed to close the skin and will be removed in about a week. The ear lobe can repierced later after the lobe has fully healed.
